Other than shoes, what makes a girl happy? Wine and chocolate of course! We did a post on wine and chocolate pairings a while back. Check that out here. Lindt recently did their homework pairing up what works best and here are the results;

Lindt Excellence 70% Cocoa pairs well with a Merlot. Sweet fruit flavors and pronounced vanilla found in Merlot compliment the vanilla in the 70% bar.

Lindt Excellence A Touch of Sea Salt pairs well with a nice Riesling. The sweet aromas of spring flowers and ripe pear work well with the light saltiness of the bittersweet chocolate.

Lindt Excellence 85% Cocoa paired well with a Zinfandel. This is a lovely fruit driven experience that is a natural balance with the bold notes and herbs of this chocolate.

Lindt Excellence Chili is a knockout with a good port. The rich red fruit of the port marries well with this spicy, sweet experience.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
