Fall Wedding Reception Station Ideas

In one of my wedding posts in August, I talked about using vignette stations at your wedding reception. If you don’t remember that post, check it out here. Stations are a great way to add your unique personality! The stations can be fun or elegant – whatever you choose! Here are a few more station ideas to add to your list: (They work especially well for fall weddings!)

One of Accomac Catering's fall weddings

*Forget the old mashed potato bar, do a baked potato bar with toppings of imported specialty cheeses, flavorful sauteed mushrooms and caramelized onions.

*Texas Chili served meatless with toppings of beef, chicken, jalapeno, sour cream, shredded jack cheese served up with baskets of corn bread sticks and bread & butter pickle relish.

*Decadent caramel apple action station- guests watch as our Chef dips their hand picked apple in rich caramel, finishing them off with their choice of crushed salted peanuts, chocolate chips, or coconut. – This is one of my favorites!

*Mac and Cheese Station-  fresh hot macaroni and cheese with enhancers like slivered smoked ham, chunky sweet baked apples, extra sharp grated cheese, spicy tomato jam, and fig jam.

*Beef Stew Station with cruets of select Bourbons with descriptions of each blend.

*Cream of Crab Soup with selections of Sherry with menu cards depicting each offering.

There are just so many options. Don’t settle for a “cookie cutter” reception! :)

Love these ideas! The planner of an event like this needs to be careful about the timing of guests visiting the stations however, as guests will certainly need a moment to ‘process’ all their wonderful options!
