Farm to Table Dinner – September 11

We are so thrilled to announce that tickets are now officially on sale for our Farm to Table Dinner Event!

Date: Saturday, September 11, 2010 (Rain Date September 12)

Time: Cocktails at 6:30 p.m. in the barn, Dinner in the field at 7:15 (sunset)

Place: Codorun Farms 1535 Hokes Mill Road York, PA 17408

Tickets: $95 (all-inclusive)

About the event: This dinner will showcase our region’s offerings in the setting of our beautiful family farm in York, PA. Menu items will be sourced from within approximately 20 miles, including our own Accomac garden. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the farmers and purveyors and participate in Q&A. (Casual attire is suggested.)

We will also be donating a portion of the ticket sales to the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA). A little bit about PASA: Their consistent and driving vision has been to transform agriculture and food systems in Pennsylvania and beyond in a way that makes our farmers more viable, improves the land and restores the health and well-being of all our citizens. Awesome idea! I’ve read about these, too, and wondered if somebody in York County would try it. I like the idea of using it as a fundraiser for PASA or (maybe next year?) for the Farm and Natural Lands Trust or Buy Fresh Buy Local York County.

Thanks so much Dan! We thought about doing an event like this down the road, but after reading about similar farm to table events across the country, we just couldn’t wait! Those organizations are definitely great for us to keep in mind for donations. Thanks for the suggestions!
